Job description

Faculty of Health and Life Sciences

This new full-time post is available immediately, on a fixed-term basis, until 01/08/2025.

Summary of the role

The principal role is to run plankton samples through the FlowCam 8400 and FlowCam Macro, and to collate and archive the resulting data. Additional activities include general laboratory preparation work, sample storage and lab-keeping duties.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage day to day activities associated with running plankton samples through the FlowCam 8400 and FlowCam Macro.
  • Collate and securely store physical samples and the digital data generated.
  • Ensure that the laboratory is kept clean and tidy.
