Faculty of Health and Life Sciences
The above full-time post is available, on a fixed term basis, from May 2024 to November 1st 2024 with the possibility of extension in the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences. The post will be based in the Biosciences Department, Geoffrey Pope Building, Streatham Campus.

Dr. Rhys Farrer wishes to recruit a Graduate Research Assistant to support his work on genomics, transcriptomics and epigenomics of fungal pathogens. This Wellcome funded post is available from May 2024 to November 1st 2024 with the prospect of an extension.
The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing one or more bioinformatic-centric projects on a fungal pathogen, including research into Cryptococcus, Candida and/or Chytrids. They will also be responsible for overseeing a bioinformatic-centric project on a fungal pathogen, including research into genomics, transcriptomics and epigenomics.
About you
The successful applicant will be able to present information on research progress and outcomes, communicate complex information, orally, in writing and electronically and prepare proposals and applications to external bodies.
Applicants will be educated to first degree level or possess an equivalent qualification/experience in a related field of study or equivalent experience and be able to demonstrate sufficient knowledge in the discipline and of research methods and techniques to work within established research programmes. Applicants will be able to demonstrate a willingness to focus on bioinformatic techniques.
