Position Summary

The Health Information Systems Research Centre is now accepting applications for the role of Software Developer to work as part of the ESHEILD project. The ESHEILD project will deliver a programme that has been tailored to students in Higher Education, targeting their knowledge, attitudes, and behaviours related to drug use to reduce drug use related harms. The mobile app-based intervention, namely MyUSE, is designed specifically for HEI students. The intervention aims to prevent and reduce drug use and associated harms for people at all levels of risk. The intervention includes evidence-based harm- reduction techniques and supports knowledge acquisition, skill development, and corrects the skewed social norms relating to drug use.

In this role, the Research Support Officer (Software developer) will be required to update and support the implementation of the proposed digital intervention specifically targeted at third level students in six Higher Education Institutions.

The ideal candidate will have the following software development skills: Front End framework Nuxt, Laravel for API resources, manage storage/authentication, Vuetify UI Framework, NetlifyCMS, Integrated CMS, Experience working with cloud services such as AWS or Azure, NetlifyCMS to support the hosting of MyUSE website, Gitlab and MXRoute Email Services. The candidate would have experience working in an interdisciplinary research team.

Post Duration: 30 Months

Salary: €40,426 p.a. (Personal rate)
