This position manages community intervention activities supported by Kentucky’s Overdose Data to Action (OD2A) grant, working closely with local and district health departments, recovery community centers, and other partners. The role combines program management, evaluation, staff supervision, and compliance to strengthen overdose prevention efforts and meet CDC grant and reporting requirements.

What You’ll Do

  •  Coordinate scopes of work, grant budget narratives, grant revisions, consultant agreements, invoices, program data, and other activities required to support OD2A-funded programs.
  •  Supervise and coach OD2A-funded navigator staff and provide guidance on systems and processes for accurate and timely program reporting.
  •  Develop and maintain IRB protocols and modifications and oversee adherence to ethical research practices and applicable grant requirements.
  •  Collaborate with community partners to develop evaluation plans and tools, including surveys, intake forms, and qualitative interviews, and analyze data to assess program activities.
  •  Disseminate evaluation findings to community and grant partners and collaborate with KIPRC faculty and staff and state and local public health partners to support CDC reporting and program sustainability efforts.
  •  Review community partner reports and outputs for alignment with CDC priorities, guidance, and reporting requirements.
  •  Collaborate with Principal Investigators, program managers, evaluators, and project staff to develop reports for the CDC, University of Kentucky leadership, and other stakeholders.
  •  Enforce applicable university policies, procedures, grant protocols, and CDC guidance across project activities.

What You’ll Bring
  •  Strong leadership, problem-solving, multitasking, and time management skills.
  •  Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  •  Ability to build relationships and engage effectively with community, public health, and grant stakeholders.
  •  Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative evaluation methods and processes.
  •  Experience with data management, ethical research procedures, IRB protocols, and compliance requirements.
  •  Ability to manage community partnerships, reporting processes, and multiple program priorities.

Minimum Requirements
  •  Master’s degree
  •  4 years of related experience

What’s In It for You

  •  Meaningful collaboration with local and district health departments, recovery community centers, public health partners, and KIPRC research teams.
  •  Hybrid work eligibility, with approval.
  • UK’s Exceptional Benefits

Why Now?
Community-based overdose prevention programs depend on strong partnerships, reliable data, effective evaluation, and consistent grant oversight. This role helps connect those elements by supporting funded community partners from program development through evaluation and reporting.

By managing OD2A-funded initiatives and strengthening coordination among community, public health, research, and grant partners, the Community Intervention Program Manager will help ensure prevention programs meet CDC requirements while generating information that can guide program improvement and sustainability.
