  • Position Summary:

    This is a pool from which the College of Health will draw when research professionals are needed to work on sponsored projects. This temporary position may be part- or full-time. Qualified applicants for this position will be placed into a hiring pool, from which research professionals will be hired. Acceptance into the hiring pool does not constitute an offer of a contract.

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Knowledge of research methods and analytical procedures.
  • Ability to use computerized tools to organize and analyze information and communicate findings.
  • Knowledge of standard reporting procedures.
  • Skilled in accurate data collection methods.
  • Preferred Experience & Education:

    Varies according to project requirements and level of position to be filled: Research Professional 1: Six months' experience in relevant field, or acceptable combination of education and experience. Research Professional 2: One year's experience in relevant field, or acceptable combination of education and experience. Research Professional 3: Two years' postgraduate level experience in relevant field, or acceptable combination of education and experience. Research Professional 4: Four years' postgraduate level experience in relevant field, or acceptable combination of education and experience. Research Professional 5: Four years' postgraduate level experience in relevant field, or acceptable combination of education and experience.

    Required Experience & Education:

    Varies according to project requirements and level of position to be filled: Research Professional 1: Bachelor's degree and six months' experience in a field relevant to the research (e.g. science, math, business), or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Research Professional 2: Bachelor's degree and one year's experience in a field relevant to the research (e.g. science, math, business), or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Research Professional 3: Master's degree and two years' postgraduate level experience in a field relevant to the research (e.g. science, math, business), or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Research Professional 4: Master's degree and four years' experience at postgraduate level in a field relevant to the research (e.g. science, math, business), or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Research Professional 5: PhD and four years' postgraduate level experience in a field relevant to the research (e.g. science, math, business), or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

    Salary Information:

    This is a temporary staff position. New hires will be placed on the UA Temporary Staff Salary Schedule, Temporary Grade 78, based on education and experience.
