Research Officer (RO) / Senior Research Assistant(SRA) in the Faculty of Engineering (Ref.: xxxxxx) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary for RO and 10% of basic salary for SRA, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)

Applicants for the post of Research Officer should possess a Ph.D. degree in Engineering or a closely related field. Applicants for the post of Senior Research Assistant should hold a Master's degree in Engineering or a closely related field, along with one year of work experience or a Bachelor's degree in the relevant field with three years of work experience. They should have excellent project management skills, the ability to work independently and under pressure, a strong sense of responsibility, and self-motivation. Fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese, as well as good coordination, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills, are essential. Experience in managing and developing large-scale research projects is highly preferred.

The appointee will play a key role in coordinating and supporting research- related activities at the Tam Wing Fan Innovation Wing Two within the Faculty of Engineering. He/She will work closely with Engineering researchers for enhancing the publicity of new research findings and preparing exhibitions. The appointee will also engage in liaising with internal and external collaborators to establish a platform for active exchange of research ideas and innovation with the general public. Besides, the appointee will be responsible for preparing research-related documents including plans and reports. Other assigned duties, including potential work outside normal office hours and on weekends, will be expected. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview and possibly a written test.
