Duties and Responsibilities

  • conduct and supervise biomedical and clinical research projects which focus on overexpression and knockdown of genes mediated by lentiviral vectors in vitro and in vivo , as well as exploring the underlying mechanisms
  • perform next-generation sequencing (NGS) and analyze data from clinical samples, and generate reports
  • coordinate and communicate research activities with collaborators
  • prepare reports and scientific publications based on research findings
  • supervise postgraduate students
  • perform other duties as assigned
  • Requirements

  • a Ph.D. degree in a relevant field with strong track record of high- quality research, preferably with expertise in cellular studies, particularly in lentivirus packaging, and animal studies
  • up-to-date knowledge of scientific and technological developments, and the ability to apply them to enhance research capabilities
  • demonstrated project management skills
  • proficiency in IT and experience in database management
  • excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese
  • ability to work independently and efficiently
  • expertise in project management software, particularly in NGS analysis, would be advantageous

    The appointment will commence as soon as possible on 1-year temporary basis with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
