    The Opportunity

    The Endocrinology Department is in search of a dedicated Research Nurse who possesses a strong work ethic and is eager to engage in professional development opportunities

    You will play a critical role in a multi-disciplinary team conducting clinical research trials. In this position you will be responsible for coordinating clinical trials including:

  • Gathering high quality research data
  • Providing optimum levels of nursing care to research participants
  • Managing participant recruitment and selection
  • Collecting and maintaining trial data
  • Managing records
  • Programs and resources
  • Maintaining clinical databases
  • To thrive in this role you will need to bring your:

  • Highly-developed planning and organisational skills
  • Thorough understanding of human research ethics principles
  • Detailed understanding of confidentiality, privacy and information handling principles
  • Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interact with, negotiate with and gain co-operation from stakeholders
  • A high level of computer literacy and experience with electronic medical records and data collecting applications would be a great advantage to you in this role.

    Prior nursing experience in Endocrinology would also be an advantage.
