About us
The CRUK Scotland Institute is a cancer research institute situated in Glasgow with approximately 250 researchers split across 30 research groups consisting of PIs, postdoctoral scientists, PhD students and scientific officers. It is one of Europe's leading cancer research centres, supporting cutting-edge work into the molecular mechanisms of cancer development. As well as core support from Cancer Research UK, the Institute also receives an additional third of its total income from external grants and industry collaborations. It has an excellent reputation for fundamental cancer research, including world-class metabolism studies and renowned in vivo modelling of tumour growth and metastasis. Position outline
A position is available for a motivated, creative and dynamic person to join the Research Management Team to drive the CRUK Scotland Institute's external research income. The post-holder will work collaboratively with researchers throughout the funding life cycle, identifying funding opportunities, providing targeted and specific application advice, contributing application content, developing budgets, and co-ordinating the submission process and post-award workflow. The role will also include administrative tasks such as developing content for the Institute's intranet pages on research funding acquisition, and recording and tracking funding applications. The post-holder will work in the supportive and active environment of the Research Management Team, under the guidance of the Head of the Research Integrity Service, and have opportunities to develop their skills in research management.
