The Opportunity
Are you passionate about cutting-edge research and scientific discovery? The Flanagan Laboratory at Monash University is seeking a dedicated Research Fellow to join our team. As a Level A research-only academic, you'll play a crucial role in advancing our understanding of gastrointestinal stem cells and their role in health and disease.
About the Flanagan Laboratory: Led by Dr Dustin Flanagan, our lab investigates the molecular regulation of gastrointestinal stem cells. We explore the intricate cross-talk between stomach stem cells and their surrounding niche, particularly in disease states such as cancer and inflammation. Our multidisciplinary approach combines immunolabelling (immunohistochemistry, RNAscope), confocal microscopy, mouse models, organoid cultures (both mouse and human), flow cytometry, and gene profiling techniques (qPCR, bulk RNA sequencing, scRNA sequencing, and spatial transcriptomics).
