Faculty of Health and Life Sciences

INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY

This part-time post is for 5 hours per week on a fixed term basis until 30th September 2024.

The post

The Faculty wishes to recruit a Allied Health Professional Research Fellow for 5 hours per week to participate in the CHART randomised controlled trial evaluating Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment and Rehabilitation for older people with heart failure with preserved ejection fraction and frailty compared with usual care. This post is available immediately until 30th Sept 2024. The successful applicant will provide clinical expertise into the development of the intervention and associated training and materials.

The post will include reviewing relevant evidence and source materials to develop written, audio and visual materials to support intervention delivery.

About you

Applicants will be an experienced Allied Health Professional, possess a BSc/BSC (Hons)/MSc in a relevant AHP profession and be HCPC registered. The successful applicant will be a nationally recognised authority in older people and possess sufficient specialist knowledge in the discipline to develop research programmes and methodologies. The successful applicant will also be able to work collaboratively, supervise the work of others and act as team leader as required. Applicants will have experience of managing a complex clinical caseload in the community and of developing interventions and training programmes. They will be able to demonstrate advanced clinical reasoning and communication skills and of the ability to collaborate within a multiprofessional team.
