    The Opportunity

Embark on a transformative journey as a Research Fellow within the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at Monash University. With a legacy spanning over 130 years, our Faculty has consistently been a leader in world- class research and pharmaceutical education. As a Research Fellow, you'll be at the heart of the action, working within the Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MIPS), Australia's largest and most successful group of pharmaceutical scientists.

At MIPS, innovation meets impact. This role will involve contributing to the Monash-Moderna Quantitative Pharmacology Accelerator (MMQPA), where you'll collaborate with experts in mRNA science, quantitative systems pharmacology (QSP), pharmacometrics, clinical pharmacology, and drug development. As a Level A research-only academic, you will conduct cutting-edge QSP research, presenting your findings at conferences and publishing in key journals. Be part of a team that not only excels in drug discovery, drug delivery, and drug development but also played a pivotal role in development and understanding of mRNA therapeutics globally.

    About You

We are seeking a Research Fellow with a proven track record in a relevant pharmacological field, substantiated by a history of refereed research publications. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on expertise in the application of quantitative systems pharmacology (QSP) analyses, coupled with a solid foundation in fields such as physiology and pharmacology. Your problem-solving acumen, innovative thinking, and diagnostic skills will be pivotal in tackling complex challenges.

MIPS, in collaboration with Moderna, offers a unique opportunity for significant project-specific training in mRNA-related initiatives, ensuring you stay at the forefront of this cutting-edge field. With a doctoral qualification in QSP, you'll play a key role in advancing knowledge of mRNA vaccines and making a lasting impact in the world of research.

Diversity is one of our greatest strengths at Monash. We encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, culturally and linguistically diverse people, people with disabilities, neurodiverse people, and people of all genders, sexualities, and age groups.
