Job No.: 568240
Work type: Fixed Term
About the position
A Research Fellow is required to coordinate a research project funded by the Pat Cosh Trust. The project aims to co-design innovative teaching and training resources to establish and support high-quality learning experiences in private practice settings.
This initiative, titled Supporting Private Practitioners with Co-designed Resources and Knowledge to increase student access to high-quality Learning Experiences (SPaRKLE), will employ a mixed-methods co-design approach. SPaRKLE seeks to identify the factors that contribute to quality student learning experiences in private practice and to develop practical resources and tools to enhance these experiences.
The project will involve nation-wide surveys and focus groups with key stakeholders, including students, new graduates, universities, and private practitioners. The findings from these activities will inform co-design workshops with private practitioner clinical educators and students to create targeted resources for private practitioners.
The SPaRKLE research team comprises experts in clinical education and co- design, including the lead investigator, Dr. Casey Peiris. Working in collaboration with the team, the Research Fellow will play a central role in coordinating research activities. Key responsibilities include facilitating participant recruitment, overseeing data collection and entry, organising focus groups and workshops, and analysing and interpreting data to ensure the project is delivered on time and achieves its objectives.
