  • About This Opportunity

    This is an exciting opportunity for a Research Fellow to join the Health and Wellbeing Centre for Research Innovation within our School of Human Movement and Nutrition Sciences.

    This position will be focussed on the Centre's program of research aiming to embed prevention, and specifically physical activity promotion, into clinical practice. To achieve this, you will work with other academics, as well as government and industry partners.

    Key responsibilities will include:

  • Research: Collaborate on research projects, seek and manage research funding, publish in reputable journals, and translate research in collaboration with Health and Wellbeing Queensland.

  • Supervision and Researcher Development: Supervise students as required, provide performance feedback and training, and resolve conflicts as they arise.

  • Citizenship and Service: Develop external links and partnerships, contribute to internal service roles and administrative processes, support colleagues, and uphold university values.

    About You

    Applicants will be able to demonstrate:

  • Completion of a PhD in the discipline areas of Physical Activity and Health

  • A growing profile in research in the discipline area.

  • A developing reputation and track record of publications in reputed refereed journals and presenting at conferences.

  • Evidence of successfully seeking, obtaining and managing external research funding.

  • A growing record of supervision of Honours and Research Higher Degree students to successful completion.
