  • As a Research Fellow, contribute to innovative ideas alongside leading global experts
  • The Opportunity

Join a dynamic research initiative at the forefront of workplace health and safety as a Research Fellow in Workplace Injury. The Workers Voice project, funded by the Australian Research Council, is a collaboration led by the Healthy Working Lives Group at Monash University in partnership with esteemed national and international researchers. In this role, you will conduct innovative mixed-methods research, delving into the lived experiences of individuals navigating workplace injuries and compensation systems. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence the field by analysing qualitative and quantitative data, producing impactful publications, and collaborating with a lived experience advisory group to drive meaningful change.

This position extends beyond research activities, encompassing key project responsibilities such as data analysis, report preparation, and the management of multi-stakeholder collaborations. It plays a central role in advancing the team's research capacity by supporting junior staff development, contributing to research proposal preparation, and driving innovative studies. Embedded within a vibrant, interdisciplinary team, this role offers opportunities to disseminate findings through conferences, seminars, and high-impact journals, amplifying the reach and impact of the research.

We seek candidates with a doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline, complemented by expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methods and a strong publication record. Demonstrated experience in mentoring and leadership, along with an understanding of workers' compensation and workplace health, will also be highly valued.

If you're passionate about driving evidence-based improvements in workplace health and thrive in collaborative and independent research settings, we encourage you to apply and be part of a project that makes a real difference.
