Are you a passionate engineer with a PhD/ working towards your PHD who is eager to push the boundaries of composite structures? Then join our dynamic team at the esteemed Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics! We are seeking a talented and motivated Research Fellow to contribute to a fully- funded project focused on advancing the computational analysis and manufacturing of these critical materials.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct advanced computational analyses of composite structures using state-of-the-art software and methodologies.
  • Implement manufacturing techniques for producing high-performance composites.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of researchers, engineers, and industry partners.
  • Contribute to the publication of high-impact research papers.
  • Qualifications:

  • A PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • Expertise in composite materials and their behavior under different loading conditions.
  • Experience with manufacturing techniques for composites (e.g., autoclave processing, additive manufacturing).
  • Proficiency in computational tools such as ANSYS, LS-DYNA3D, Abaqus, or similar FEA software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
