  • Role Description

    About the Role

    The Applied Psychology Group comprises a small team of academics who deliver research, consultation and scholarship-led postgraduate teaching on the psychological mechanisms (including cognitive processes) underpinning human behaviour across different contexts. You will collaborate on applied cognitive research in areas of interest to defence and industry within research programmes funded by the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory, through various contractual mechanisms.

    About You

    You will have a PhD in an appropriate field such as Cognitive Psychology, Experimental Psychology, Applied Psychology/Occupational Psychology. You will have British Psychological Society (BPS) membership. Experience in human factors, with a bias towards cognitive psychology, and experience in experimental design and statistical methods and their application is essential. You will have knowledge of a wide range of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies and the ability to design, implement and report on quantitative and mixed methods research.
