Job Reference: 735127 The Curtin Medical School seeks to hire a Research Associate/Research Fellow to pursue research in synthetic biology within the Laboratory of Synthetic Biology and Drug Discovery (https: // perkins.org.au/person/oliver-rackham/ and https: // research.curtin.edu.au/supervisor/professor-oliver-rackham/). Projects tackled by the team span the spectrum of cell and molecular biology, high resolution imaging, bioinformatics, genetics and gene editing - with a focus on mitochondrial biology and mammalian gene expression.
Your new role Are you prepared to push the boundaries of medical science? We are seeking a motivated Research Associate or Research Fellow to join our unique multidisciplinary team of experimental and computational scientists. Our team has created new technologies to engineer and understand transcriptomes, genomes and organelles. Working with Professor Oliver Rackham, your work will target some of the most significant challenges in medicine today, including understanding and building new therapeutic approaches for metabolic and genetic disorders.

CMS forms part of the Faculty of Health Sciences and is affiliated with two research institutes; the Curtin Medical Research Institute (Curtin MRI) and the enAble Institute for Health Science (enAble).
