  • Starting salary: $112,892 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)
  • About the Role

    As the Research Fellow, you will contribute to the research efforts of UniSA STEM, with a focus on undertaking research on several forestry related projects titled, “Geospatial Positioning & Fusion: is real-time sub-metre, accuracy operationally feasible in forestry environments?”, “Weed Identification for PINT”, and “Operational Transition of PINT Software”, all with NIFPI and FWPA.

  • Design, perform and record high-quality experimental research work in forestry-related projects
  • Communicate research outcomes in verbal and written forms to the research team
  • Ensure delivery of project milestones and objectives according to timelines and budgets
  • Make contributions to refereed journal publications, conferences, and seminar papers
  • Contribute to the teaching activities of the University
  • Essential Skills and Experience

  • A PhD qualification and relevant research experience in the fields of remote sensing, navigation or signal/image processing
  • Evident industry or community engagement relevant to the field of research
  • Effective organisational skills with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities
  • High-level communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently, under limited supervision, and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
