About Us The Centre for Crop and Disease Management (CCDM) at Curtin University brings together expertise in biometry, bioinformatics and data science, together with agribusiness, actuarial science, geographical information systems, farming systems and plant pathology. We have strong industry and academic partnerships and focus on research to overcome key challenges in the broadacre crop production industry.

The Analytics for the Australian Grains Industry (AAGI) program is a strategic partnership between the GRDC, Curtin University - CCDM, University of Adelaide and University of Queensland. Together, we develop and apply advanced biometry, data science and methodologies to the design and analysis of complex experiments and field trials. We provide training workshops and mentorships for researchers and are engaged in intensive computing for a broad range of applications including genetics, ‘omics, phenotyping, earth observation and many other forms of high dimension data. AAGI provides academic input to a broad range of GRDC investments and also undertakes its own research and development including training of HDR students.

AAGI provides a unique inclusive collegial environment for scientist interested in biometry and data analytics, enabling and encouraging everyone to develop their full potential and supporting group members with mentorships, professional development opportunities and on the job training.
