Department of Experimental Psychology, Radcliffe Observatory Quarter

Applications are invited for a Clinical Psychologist to work on a NIHR BRC- funded project ‘Implementing brief CBT supplemented with workbooks in CAMHS with 12–17-year-old OCD sufferers'. You will work to support the project; activities include supporting the development of a blended training package and treatment manual for therapists to use the materials and deliver the treatment and supporting an evaluation of the treatment in Child and Adolescent Mental Health services (CAMHS). You will have responsibility for supervising low intensity practitioners, such as Children's Wellbeing Practitioners (CWPs), to deliver the intervention to young people with OCD within routine clinical services.

Due to the nature of the funding, the post is for 1 day per week (7.5 hours) for six months. It is based in the Department of Experimental Psychology in the Radcliffe Observatory Quarter in Oxford.

You will have a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or equivalent and be HCPC registered as Practitioner Clinical Psychologist. You will have an excellent knowledge and understanding of OCD and how it presents and develops in children and young people, as well as an excellent knowledge and understanding of evidence based psychological interventions for children and young people. You will have experience in delivering CBT protocol-based treatments for the treatment of OCD (in adults or adolescents) and use of relevant routine outcomes measures to inform treatment and evaluate outcomes. You will have experience working clinically with adolescent populations and in working within a mental health or Primary Care service. You will have the ability to supervise low intensity practitioners to deliver a low-intensity psychological intervention and be able to deliver and use clinical supervision and personal development positively and effectively.
