This post is part-time, 17.5 hours per week and fixed term until for 24 months. The salary stated above is the pro-rata amount, the full time salary would be £39,236 -£44,617 per annum (Incl. LWA).

The University of Westminster is looking for a part-time research associate to work on one funded studies: Monitoring access control barrier removal on traffic-free routes, funded by Motability. The postholder will conduct qualitative and quantitative research, including vivacity sensor analysis, qualitative interviews, and surveys to understand active travel practices. They will have excellent knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods. They should be competent at communicating results orally or in writing to colleagues and to external stakeholders and the public.

The postholder will be part of the University's Active Travel Academy, which sits within the School of Architecture and Cities. Established in late 2019, the ATA brings together a range of disciplines and perspectives on active travel and hosts small and large research projects supported by different funders. It organises a range of events and activities, such as the regular ‘Walking at Teatime' and ‘Cycling at Teatime' series and hosts the open access journal Active Travel Studies.
