Job description

School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences

Part-time (0.8FTE); Fixed-term for 15 months

Project: The co-creation of a lifestyle health behaviour intervention in desk-based remote workers

This project will develop an intervention to enhance the health-related lifestyle behaviours of remote workers.

Since the pandemic many organisations have implemented a permanent remote working policy, which can have a negative impact on physical and psychological health. We will work with an organisation who have adopted a remote-based working pattern for their desk-based employees to develop an intervention to increase movement and reduce sitting time. The project will consist of four stages which will include quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis to enable the co-creation of an intervention to enhance the health behaviours of remote workers.

You will have a PhD in the area of health, physical activity, sedentary behaviour or a related subject. You will have experience of qualitative and quantitative data collection, analysis, and dissemination. You will be able to work effectively as a team and maintain good work relationships with the external partners.

This part-time post is offered on a fixed-term contract for 15 months.

Informal enquiries should be directed to Dr Elizabeth Stamp, Lecturer, via email to [email protected] or by telephone to 01509 226495.

Loughborough University is committed to allowing its employees to work dynamically with a combination of working on campus and remotely, where possible. This has been identified as a role that could work dynamically and, if successful, your line manager will discuss these informal arrangements with you. Please note that there is a general expectation that the successful candidate will spend the majority of time working on the Loughborough campus.

Closing date for applications - 7 March 2024.
