Position Summary
Major Duties/Responsibilities
Work on the development and refinement of Bayesian machine learning
framework to evaluate masses for nuclei for which the direct mass data are
not available. The analysis, including their numerical implementations,
will be based on nuclear Density Functional theory.
Disseminate results at conferences and workshops.
Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within
the scope of the duties in this job classification.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience in relevant fields of modern nuclear many-body theory and
statistical machine learning.
Proficiency with programming languages (C++, Python, …), high-
performance computing, version management tools (Git), Linux, and
typical office software for typesetting and presentation, e.g., Microsoft
Office and LaTeX.
Excellent communication skills to communicate effectively, both verbally
and in writing, with all audiences.

Doctorate -Physics
Minimum Requirements
PhD in Physics or a related field
Desired Qualifications
Prior experience in relevant fields of nuclear many-body theory and
statistical machine learning.
Experience with research software development and deployment on modern
computing architectures.
