Position SummaryThis position provides a unique opportunity to engage in collaborative research at an internationally renowned research institution. The position will facilitate scientific and scholarly advancement through the participation in a federally funded project, in combination with the pursuit of related independent research questions. In the process, the candidate will work with undergraduate and graduate students and other academic, clinical and technical staff. The goal of this project is to improve blood pressure and vascular health in older adults with hypertension through an innovative exercise intervention. We seek to understand circadian rhythms in well-known markers of cardiovascular health, and align exercise interventions with these rhythms.
The candidate will contribute to the day-to-day research and laboratory activities in order to meet research goals, including:
Leading study visits including preparing equipment and collecting cardiovascular measurements.
Data analysis.
