About the role

The Department of Social Policy and Intervention is seeking a Research Assistant who wishes to build a career in social care in either research or practice. The post will primarily focus on evaluation of the new Family Safeguarding Model in Oxfordshire Children's Social Care Services, including the analysis of data. You will be expected to engage and collaborate with Oxfordshire Children's Social Care Services colleagues and to play a part in the wider team based at the Department of Social Policy and Intervention.

This is a Fixed Term Contract for seven months.

About you

You will hold, or be close to completion of, a graduate qualification in psychology, social sciences or a related discipline. A team player with good interpersonal and communications skills, you will also be able to work independently. You will be computer literate and have a high level of efficiency and attention to detail for office-based tasks. You will be committed to research that has an impact on social care, demonstrating a high level of discretion, judgement and initiative, especially when dealing with issues concerning patients.

Experience of working in a research team and contributing to research publications would also be desirable.

You will be based in Oxford as your normal place of work however there is opportunity for remote working (up to 40%FTE).
