The Diversity and Well-being Lab at the Department of Psychology is recruiting a Research Assistant Professor (carrying the job title of "Research Team Lead") for a digital mental health project, the Jockey Club TourHeart Project.
Applicants should have (i) a PhD degree in Psychology or related disciplines; (ii) strong publication record in top-tier journals; (iii) solid research experience in randomized controlled trials on digital psychological interventions, mindfulness, mental health communication and promotion, and transdiagnostic mechanisms related to depression and anxiety; (iv) at least 5 years of relevant working experience in the field of mental health; (v) experience in leading large-scale community-based projects; (vi) knowledgeable in conducting meta-analysis, quantitative and qualitative research, as well as implementing digital mental health solutions in community settings and with special populations.
Duties include: (a) leading research studies in a funded project on mental health among emerging adults; (b) liaising with project collaborators and stakeholders; (c) producing high impact publications; (d) seeking external/governmental grants; (e) supervising research assistants and students; and (f) collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary team.
Salary will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a contract basis for up to three years commencing in June 2024, renewable subject to good performance and availability of funding.
