Applications are invited for appointment as Research Assistant Professor / Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration (Ref.: 527415), to commence as soon as possible, on a two- year fixed-term basis for Research Assistant Professor , or a one-year temporary basis for Post-doctoral Fellow.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree with focuses on research in Social Sciences Organizational studies, or a related discipline. An additional degree in MBA or other fields relevant to Management is highly preferable. Applicants should have a strong background and experience in qualitative and quantitative research on social sciences or organizational studies, along with a high level of proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese). A strong publication track record on peer-reviewed academic journals and research grants will be an advantage.

The appointee will assist the PI in managing, coordinating, and implementing research activities, in particular, conducting literature reviews and conceptualization, proposing evaluation plan for interventions, facilitating data collection and analysis, paper-writing and conducting some knowledge exchange activities, and performing other duties as assigned. He/she will have ample opportunities to collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals, and other stakeholders in the field of non-profit sector.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits, etc. For Research Assistant Professor , the appointment on fixed term will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 15% of basic salary. Those with limited publication record will be considered for the position of Post-doctoral Fellow.
