Applications are invited for appointment as Research Assistant Professor in Early Earth Evolution and Planetary Sciences in the Department of Earth Sciences, The University of Hong Kong (Ref.: 526920), to commence in September 2024 or as soon as possible, on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and availability of funding.
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate is expected to work on key events related to the evolution of the Early Earth and other terrestrial planets (chemically, thermally, physically, and/or tectonically). The appointee will work closely with Professor Jian ZHANG (Jason) and Professor Guochun ZHAO in the Department of Earth Sciences.

What We Offer
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
