  • Role Description

    About the Role

    The primary responsibility of Research Fellow is to conduct research on sensos development for wastewater surveillance, biocomputing using state-of-the-art facilities at in the advanced sensors laboratory at Cranfield University.

    Cranfield has a proud reputation for its research on the science, engineering and management of water and we have been driving innovation for over 40 years. You will contribute to the delivery of Cranfield University's research portfolio in Advanced Sensors Laboratory for Water-Environment-Health led by Prof Zhugen Yang. The group's work on sensing wastewater has received national and international recognition, for example, featuring in Science, and numerous media coverages (e.g., BBC News, The Washington Post, etc). The origami- paper device is currently featured at London Science Museum.

    About You

    You will be educated to doctoral level (or close to completion) in biosensing, microfluidics, environmental science, microbiology, synthetic biology or relative disciplines and have experience of experimental skills sets on sensors development, wastewater surveillance, or reverse inference modelling for source tracking.
