Research Assistant- Machesky Group (Pro rata -Fixed Term)

The research team of Professor Laura Machesky is seeking to recruit a 50% FTE (18.5 hours/week) part time Research Assistant with experience in mammalian cell work or molecular biology and an interest in cancer cell biology.

This post is funded by Cancer Research UK as a part of a programme investigating how the microenvironment contributes to progression and metastasis of pancreatic cancer.

The position would suit an ambitious talented recent graduate in Biochemistry, Molecular or Cell Biology who is keen to gain laboratory experience. An MPhil degree in cell biology or a similar area and have an interest in cell biology and microscopy. They will be collaborative and able to work as a part of a team. They will contribute to various projects in the lab and help with lab organisation and management.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 36 months in the first instance.
