The Senior Research Assistant provides specialist research subject matter expertise in support of high quality research outcomes at all stages of the research life-cycle.
Key responsibilities will include:
Undertakes advanced elements of research, in accordance with scientific/research discipline or methodology
Applies personal knowledge of Autism to research activities including background research, ethics application preparation, interviewing, and interview content analysis
Assists with the development of research/analytical protocols
Ensures compliance with approved ethics protocols
Leads interviews with Autistic interviewees (as appropriate)
Contributes to research outputs, joint preparation and authorship of reports/manuscripts
Contributes to the organisation and facilitation of a Roundtable and Forum & Networking event in Brisbane.
Other duties, as reasonable directed by the supervisor
This is a part-time (25% FTE), fixed-term position until 31 December 2024.
At HEW level 6, the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $84,871.95 - $91,158.90 plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be up to $99,300.18 - $106,655.91 annually.
About YouWe are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Research Assistant who identifies as Autistic to apply their subject matter expertise and interest in Autism in the workplace to the project ' Understanding the lived experiences of Autistic jobseekers and Autistic employees accessing Disability Employment Services in Southeast Queensland: Breaking down barriers and leveraging enablers'.
Completion of a relevant degree in organisation studies or similar with subsequent experience in coordinating activities or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
Demonstrated research-relevant knowledge and skills with interest in qualitative research.
Well-developed problem-solving skills, with an ability to forward plan, prioritise tasks to meet deadlines and work with a high level of adaptability, both independently and as part of a team.
Strong written communication skills with proven ability to produce clear, succinct documentation.
Willingness to liaise with a variety of individuals including research participants, DES employees, and members of a variety of organizations.
