  • About the Role

    You will be responsible for undertaking research-related support activities for the NHMRC Grant project titled ‘Predicting delirium vulnerability from pre-surgery neurophysiological measures'. This will involve providing administrative support across a range of tasks, liaising with a broad range of stakeholders, and collecting data all while maintaining diligence and attention to detail.

    Core Responsibilities

  • Under direction, lead ethics applications and clinical governance processes related to the project
  • Undertake logistical elements of the project, including participant recruitment and scheduling, and liaising and meeting with Consumer Representatives
  • Collect psychophysiological, psychological, functional and mood data from older adults under limited supervision
  • Undertake administrative duties including taking meeting minutes, developing and updating Standard Operating Procedures, maintaining a project risk register, and being involved in data entry and database management
  • Under direction, provide training to students and study investigators on the collection of high-quality data
  • Essential Skills and Experience

  • A Bachelor's degree in an appropriate Psychology or Allied Health area relevant to the research
  • Demonstrated organisational and time management skills together with resourcefulness and initiative to manage multiple priorities and demands in the context of research
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively to a wide range of audiences in the context of running a research project under supervision, including research participants, clinical scientists, and consumer advocates
  • Experience in submitting and reporting to an Ethics Committee
  • Experience with data entry and database management, and the ability to collect psychological or psychophysiological data
