The Opportunity

Join the Respiratory Access (Cox) Group and contribute to NHMRC-funded research focused on chronic lung disease and supportive care. This Research Assistant position will support a range of clinical research activities, including quantitative and qualitative data collection, clinical trial interventions, participant recruitment and consenting, data management and analysis, systematic reviews and preparation of research outputs. Working within established research objectives, protocols and timeframes, the position will contribute to research that supports improved understanding and care for people living with chronic lung disease.

Working closely with clinicians, researchers, and patients, you will contribute to the design and delivery of clinical research that directly impacts real-world care. This role is ideally suited to an early career researcher or health sciences graduate with experience in clinical data collection and trial coordination.

What you’ll do:

• Collect and manage clinical trial data (quantitative and qualitative)
• Deliver trial interventions and assist with patient-facing studies
• Contribute to ethics submissions, manuscript preparation, and data analysis
• Assist in systematic reviews and grant development

What you’ll bring:

• An honours degree or higher in a biomedical, allied health, or clinical research field
• Experience working in hospital or clinical research environments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (ICH-GCP)
• Strong organisational, documentation, and data management skills
