About the role
The Department of Social Policy and Intervention wishes to appoint a part-time Research Assistant to work on a project “Demographic Change and Intergenerational Persistence in Homeownership in Europe” co-led by PI Dr. Selçuk Bedük. This is a good opportunity for a UK PhD student to gain more experience in research and possibly contribute to publications in the area of homeownership and intergenerational transmission of advantage.
The Research Assistant will take comprehensive and systematic literature reviews, prepare and analyse long-term longitudinal data from the UK and Europe, and contribute to writing research notes and papers.
About you
You are working toward a doctorate in a social science discipline (or a relevant data science field), have interest and research in the field of housing/wealth and experience in data management and analysis using panel data. Experience in contributing to research publications and working in a research team or project would be advantageous.
This is a part-time (30% FTE, 12 hours per week) fixed-term post for 12 months.
