Research Assistant I in the Department of Clinical Oncology (Ref.: 524595 ) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification preferably in Computer science, Bioengineering, Bioinformatics or related discipline, with at least 2 years of research experience. They should have good communication skills; be highly motivated, responsible, and able to work independently as well as in a team. Previous experience in next-generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis and expertise in the use of a high-level programming language such as R, Python or Perl for complex data analysis and use of shell script in Unix operating system is required. Programming, web application programming, or relational database experience are pluses. Those with a strong interest in cancer genomics and plan to pursue graduate research would have an advantage.

The appointee will participate in cancer research projects involving analyzing the genomic data from cancer patients recruited in the clinical trial for neoantigen-based immunotherapy and will get the training for multi-omics studies, such as genomic profiling, single-cell RNA sequencing, and spatial transcriptome, and perform other general lab duties as assigned by the supervisor.
