Research Assistant I in the Department of Sociology (Ref.:530560) (to commence as soon as possible until June 2025, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree, preferably in sociology, education, social work, or a related social science discipline. They should have a high proficiency in both written and spoken Chinese (Cantonese) and English and excellent interpersonal and coordination skills. They should be detailed-minded, dedicated, have a strong sense of responsibility, and be able to work independently and as a team. Prior experience in research coordination and research participant recruitment would be an advantage.
The appointee will assist in the implementation of a large-scale project on early childhood development in Hong Kong. They will assist the research team in managing and coordinating data collection, recruiting and communicating with schools, liasing with study participants, data entry, translations, preparing study documents, and providing administrative and project support as assigned. The post offers an excellent opportunity for those interested in obtaining experience in large-scale research projects and child development studies.
