Research Assistant I/II in the Department of Pathology, School of Clinical Medicine(Ref.: 524509) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.)
Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree, preferably a M.Phil or Master's degree, in biological science, biomedical sciences or related disciplines. Experience in laboratory work, molecular biology and bioinformatics analysis would be a strong advantage. They should have a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Cantonese); and good communication and interpersonal skills. They should be organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as in a team. The appointee will participate in research projects related to bone and soft tissue pathology. He/She will perform multi-omics and circulating tumour DNA (ctDNA) analysis on clinical samples (e.g. FFPE tissue, blood) as well as functional analysis of fusion proteins.
