Full-time/Part-time Research Assistant I/II in Humanities Research in the Medical Ethics and Humanities Unit (MEHU), School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 524394) (to commence as soon as possible for a period of 9 months, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree or above in Humanities or Social Science disciplines such as Anthropology, Cultural Studies, English Literature, or History. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English, and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and independently. Those with lower qualifications and/or less experience may be considered for the position of Research Assistant II.
The appointee will assist cultural anthropologist Dr Alex Gearin in a qualitative health humanities research project on nature therapy and meditation in Hong Kong, studying socio-cultural elements of place-based sensory and meditation techniques. He/She will assist in the research process, such as perform literature review, questionnaire management, data collection and analysis, in addition to interpretation and preparation of project reports and perform other duties as assigned.
