HKU Stroke is at the forefront of stroke and dementia research and is currently actively engaged in a large range of projects relating to stroke and dementia prevention and management. Current projects include: investigating the role of the gut microbiota with vascular and brain health; use of big datasets, hospital-based registries, advanced neuroimaging techniques and blood-based biomarkers to predict outcomes and facilitate personalised medicine; and use of digital health platforms and artificial intelligence in stroke and dementia. The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a 1-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
