Research Assistant I/II in the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (Ref.: 526050 )

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have responsibilities in molecular biology experiments, preparation for single-cell sequencing and multi-omics profiling, as well as handling and operating mouse models. The appointee will actively contribute to research projects focused on adolescent idiopathic scoliosis and bone metastasis, under the guidance of the principal investigator.


Applicants should have a M.Phil./Master's degree in biological science, medical science or a related discipline, or a Bachelor's degree plus at least one year of laboratory work experience, preferably with experience in molecular biology, cell culture, animal handling, and handling clinical specimens like blood and tissues. Experience in bioinformatics is advantageous. Strong written and spoken communication skills in both English and Chinese, including Cantonese, is a plus. A suitable candidate should be organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently and within a team.

The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a 1-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
