Research Assistant for Writing Pre-Conquest England A New History of Old English Prose

The Faculty of English Language and Literature, seeks to appoint a Research Assistant to work one day per week (0.2 FTE) providing research support for Prof. Francis Leneghan's AHRC-funded Research, Development and Engagement project, ‘Writing Pre-Conquest England: A New History of Old English Prose'.

About the Role
To assist in organisation of ECR/graduate workshops and a major international conference on Old English prose, preparation of an annotated bibliography of Old English prose, preparation of a website on Old English prose, and promoting of the project at international conferences and seminars.
About You
You will hold a first degree, together with some relevant experience, working toward or having completed a doctorate in Old English. You will possess sufficient specialist knowledge in Old English to work within established research programmes, have the ability to manage own research and administrative activities, excellent communication skills, including the ability to write text that can be published, present data at conferences, and represent the research group at meetings.
