Research Assistant (Fixed Term)

Applications are invited for a part time Research Assistant position in the lab of Dr Wei Li, at the Victor Phillip Dahdaleh Heart & Lung Research Institute. The primary aim of this post is to support on-going work investigating the dysregulated BMP signalling and endoglin in the pathogenesis of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) and hereditary haemorrhagic telangiectasia (HHT).

The successful applicant will possess at least a Bachelor's degree in Biological Science, or a related subject, have extensive "hands-on" experience working with vascular endothelial cells and in vivo models, proficiency in animal handling, blood sampling and administration of substances. Extensive experience with other cell culture work, recombinant protein purification and standard laboratory techniques will be advantageous.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 20 months in the first instance.
