We are looking to recruit a Research Assistant to work as a member of a research group with responsibility for the provision of research support for Work Packages within the context of a Wellcome Early Career Grant, reporting to Dr Andrea Luppi. The research will take place within the Centre for Eudaimonia and Human Flourishing, headed by Professor Morten Kringelbach. The post is full-time.
This post is for a fixed term (9 months with the possibility of extension)
You will Manage your own research and administrative activities, within guidelines provided by senior colleagues as well as contributing to wider project planning, including ideas for new research projects. The role will also include the analysis of neuroimaging and behavioural data and developing statistical and computational models.
You will hold a first degree in neuroscience, data science, computer science, or engineering and have proficiency with programming in MATLAB (preferred) or Python. Sufficient knowledge of neuroscience and neuroimaging to understand the project questions and objectives is essential as is experience of computational modelling and statistical data analysis. Experience of working with functional MRI, brain tractography, brain modelling and computer clusters would be desirable.
