About the role

Registry are looking to appoint a Regulations & Compliance Advisor on a full- time, permanent basis. It is an opportunity for someone with a good understanding of student casework, including appeals, complaints and conduct cases.

The successful applicant will work within a small, committed team that carry out casework relating to student appeals, complaints, fitness to practise, fitness to study and academic and student conduct, as well as give advice and guidance to students and staff about University regulations and procedures.

The ideal successful applicant will have experience handling casework and giving advice about University regulations and procedures, or a similar area, in addition to interpersonal and written communication skills and a strong commitment to putting the student first.

Within the role the post holder will need to handle sensitive information appropriately, and have difficult, supportive conversations with others. The ideal successful applicant will be willing to embrace digital development and work innovatively to produce positive student outcomes.

Ideally they will have a good understanding of the University's regulations with experience of their application in day-to-day activities. The ideal applicant will also have experience in handling difficult conversations with staff and students.

Finally, they will have a strong commitment to personal development and to working to a high standard set by the University and the Office of the Independent Adjudicator.
