Job information

The University of Bedfordshire's Examinations team sits within Registry Services and forms part of the university's Academic Registry. Registry Services is responsible for the central administrative functions of Registration, Academic Timetabling, Examinations, and Graduation. The Registry Services Officer (Examinations) is responsible for supporting the successful delivery of the university's examinations.

We are looking for a proactive, innovative and adaptable individual to support delivery and to contribute to the development of services in this area. This includes supporting the implementation and continuous improvement for the delivery of digital exams, contributing to the development of processes, and leading on small scale projects as required.

This post will provide the right candidate with an opportunity to make a significant contribution to the university during a period of change as it continues to deliver its Transforming Bedfordshire strategy. They will need to be a problem solver who can think on their feet, and have the willingness to engage in small projects effectively, whilst supporting collaboration across the team, and the wider Academic Registry.

We are looking for:

  • A competent HE professional with relevant experience in relation to examinations (both in person and online) and the application of good practice.
  • An excellent communicator both verbally and in the written word.
  • An innovative approach to working with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • A good understanding of the development, implementation and operation of policy and regulation to support processes in this area.
  • Well-developed IT skills with considerable experience of complex student records systems such as SITs, and an understanding or exposure to digital assessments platforms.
  • A proactive individual with the ability to work on initiative and support change as prescribed by senior management.
  • A team player with a flexible and adaptive approach to work.
