The newly created role of Regional Director, North Asia and Oceania is responsible for advancing Bond University's international student recruitment and market development goals across all recruitment channels.  The position will lead a portfolio of internationally aligned growth markets within North Asia (including China) and Oceania, along with a team of market professionals, in attracting high-quality students to Bond.

 

The position forms part of Bond’s international management team, providing regular market intelligence, strategic insights, growth opportunities and outcomes to senior management. The position will develop market specific strategies and activations; identify, secure and nurture partnerships leading to cohort recruitment; and manage team operations, performance and budgets.

 

About the person

You will be a strategic and results-driven international student recruitment sales professional with strong business development and interpersonal skills. In addition, you will have:  

  • A postgraduate qualification in business, marketing, or a related discipline with mid-senior level experience.
  • Expert market knowledge and student recruitment sales experience preferably across North Asia (including China), including strong market-based professional networks.
  • A strong track record in in developing and activating institutional pathways and partnerships leading to cohort enrolments.
  • Proven success in student recruitment, sales, and marketing, along with leading and developing high-performing sales teams to exceed targets.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, data-driven strategic decision-making, and a commitment to sustainable growth and diversification of the Bond international student cohort.
  • Working knowledge of the Australian and international higher education sector and its regulatory framework, including recent legislative changes and compliance framework.
  • Dynamic, outgoing, and strategic, with a consistent focus on growth, business development and sales, with a strong commitment to working collaboratively with key University staff and business partners.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing, training and motivating a successful sales, recruitment and/or business development team, including remote staff.

 

Ideally this role will be based at the Gold Coast campus, however alternative locations such as Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane may be considered.

 

Salary details

The salary range for this full-time position is $130,527.82 to $138,157.23 per annum, commensurate with skills, qualifications and experience, plus 12% superannuation.

 

Relocation assistance to the Gold Coast may be provided for the preferred candidate.
