Job description

Hybrid working: a mix of working in the office and from home

Open ended and Part-time - 22.5 hours working 4 days per week

We are currently looking for a part-time Recruitment Officer to join our team. Our Recruitment and Resourcing team are responsible for managing the end-to- end recruitment process for all academic and professional services roles across the University.

Daily, you'll manage your own portfolio being responsible for the end-to-end recruitment process – from advertising to onboarding successful candidates.

You'll provide recruitment and resourcing advice to your hiring managers including where and how to advertise creatively, and support on immigration activities in relation to the new starter process; including right to work checks and Certificates of Sponsorships.

You'll need to be comfortable talking to and advising colleagues at all levels of the university. Have a can-do attitude and thrive on providing excellent customer service to our candidates and key stakeholders.

You will be the first point of contact in the team for your designated portfolio customers and will work alongside a team of fellow Officers. You will be supported by a Senior Recruitment Officer and a Senior Immigration Officer, as well as a Team Leader.

You will need to have administration experience and ideally, this would be in a recruitment and resourcing environment, but this is not essential. Your previous administration experience should include prioritising and processing high numbers of tasks with a high level of accuracy and in a timely manner, as well as experience of IT systems including Microsoft applications.

If you feel you have the necessary experience and skills and would like to be part of our welcoming team, we would love to hear from you!

We welcome applications from all walks of life, and we are really committed to diversity and inclusion in the way we manage recruitment and how we work with our colleagues at Loughborough University. We'll expect you to be committed too.

In return, we can offer you a supportive and friendly environment with lots of opportunity to learn and develop your personal and professional skills. Our benefits include:

  • Hybrid working – we typically expect our team to be in the office 3 days per week
  • Good annual leave allowance up to 44 days (inclusive of Bank Holidays & University closure days)
  • Competitive pension schemes
  • Fantastic range of sports and gym facilities with discounted rates for staff
  • Great opportunities for CPD
  • A range of childcare support initiatives and benefits including childcare vouchers, on-site nursery and holiday play schemes
  • Family friendly inclusive employment policies
  • Bupa Cash Plan (100 scheme)
  • Employee Assistant Programme
  • Season ticket loan scheme
  • On campus parking with charging points for electric vehicles
  • For an informal discussion please contact Kreena Hemraj, Recruitment and Resourcing Team Leader on [email protected], telephone on 01509 222771 or Megan Garner, Recruitment & Resourcing Manager on [email protected]

Application closing date: Monday 4 March 2024

Interview date: Friday 15 March 2024
