Contract positions available starting September 5, 2023 – December 31, 2023 with the possibility of extension. Hours of work will be 8:30 am – 5:30 pm. Courses may be offered between Monday to Saturday, online or at the Coquitlam campus based on availability.

The Role

The Continuing Education Department/Health Sciences faculty is accepting applications for contract instructors to teach Provincial Violence Prevention Curriculum (PVPC) to Health Science students.

Responsibilities

Job duties include delivering PVPC curriculum online or on campus, responding to student and department emails and attending department meetings as required.

To Be Successful in this Role You Will Need

  • The ideal candidate will be a nurse or other healthcare professional or health authority employee with a knowledge and understanding of violence prevention.
  • Proof of recent Train the Trainer or PVPC certification required.
  • Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills a must.
  • Teaching experience and familiarity with Blackboard Learning Management System an asset.
