Projects Finance Advisor
Finance Division, Hythe Bridge Street, Oxford
The University of Oxford, renowned for its excellence in research and
education, is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented individual to join our
Finance Division as a Projects Finance Advisor. In this role, you will play a
pivotal part in the management of the Digital Transformation Programme (DTP)
projects, ensuring their financial integrity and compliance with University
and sponsor regulations.
Responsibilities:
Project Management Support: Oversee the lifecycle of all Digital
Transformation Programme projects, including the initial setup on Oracle
Financials and continual support throughout the project duration.
Financial Administration: Prepare and reconcile project finances,
ensuring accuracy and adherence to sponsor terms and University financial
regulations. This includes invoicing sponsors and managing diverse
portfolios of work to meet strict deadlines.
Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the prime contact point for DTP projects,
building strong relationships with grant-holding departments, sponsors,
and partner institutions to understand their needs and provide consistent
support.
Documentation and Reporting: Develop and maintain internal process
documents, prepare financial statements, and provide preliminary data for
audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Selection Criteria:
Essential:
Experience in complex financial administration with customer interaction.
Strong accounting skills with proven ability in complex reconciliation.
High numeracy and proficiency in grasping complex concepts.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Advanced PC skills, particularly with spreadsheets.
Ability to work collaboratively, and manage multiple projects effectively
under deadlines.
Demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
Desirable:
Experience with financial management systems such as Oracle Financials.
Familiarity with grants or project accounting.
